DR. MARK P. MAHER O.D.
Dr. Maher earned his bachelor degree from UC Berkeley where he also received his doctorate in Optometry in 1984. He discovered his family loved the sun more than the fog, so he opened his practice in Cupertino in 1986. He fell in love with the quint town of Morgan Hill and opened his second practice here in 1989.
Dr. Maher’s primary clinical interests include laser vision consultation, contact lens evaluations, treatment of eye diseases, and primary care optometry.
Outside of his work he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and growing family. He loves to take walks with his grandson and loves to travel.
DR. CAROLYN BAKER-CONNOR O.D.
Carolyn Baker-Connor, OD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Davis. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry graduating in 1995.
Dr. Baker-Connor completed an externship at Mc Clellan Air Force Base where she gained valuable experience in diagnoses of eye diseases pertaining to overall systemic health. She then joined Dr. Maher in private practice in 1996.
Today, Dr Baker-Connor performs comprehensive eye examination, contact lens evaluation and performs pre-op and post-op LASIK exams. Dr Baker Connor diagnoses diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts and other ocular pathology.
In her spare time, she likes to spend quality time with her husband and two boys. She also enjoys reading, camping and cooking.
DR. KATHERINE MAKAYED O.D.
Dr. Katherine Makayed, OD is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Optometry and is certified to prescribe medication and treat Glaucoma.
After receiving her degree in Biology Physiology and Behavioral Sciences from UC Davis, Dr. Makayed worked in science and pharmacology research of neurodegenerative diseases before discovering her passion for Optometry.
Her clinical training included Indian Health Services Hospital in Montana, Private Practice in Colorado and Marin Community Clinics. Member of Beta Sigma Kappa, Santa Clara County Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Makayed was born in Belarus, grew up in northern California and enjoys camping, hiking, short motorcycle rides, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
